The "Overview" tour lasts approximately 60 minutes: first, the SWR Television Tower is viewed from the outside, then you descend into the foundation, and finally take the elevator to the observation platform at 150 meters high. Along the way, questions are addressed such as: Why does the tower look so slender and elegant? Why doesn't it tip over in strong winds? And what does a "samba sock" have to do with the tower shaft? The guide explains the construction history of this prototype of all television towers, provides technical details, and shares anecdotes about Stuttgart's most iconic landmark.
