As part of the Markgräfler Musikherbst festival, this ensemble performs in the grand hall of Bad Krozingen Castle, presenting works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Christian Bach - original compositions alongside arrangements.
The programme draws on a real historical encounter: the eight-year-old Mozart met Bach's 29-year-old son Johann Christian in London in 1764, and was so taken with him that his first piano concertos were based on harpsichord sonatas by J. C. Bach.
