Jugend jazzt-Big Band: This year's winning band from the Jugend jazzt competition opens the festival. In cooperation with the Landesmusikrat Brandenburg, this important gathering of young jazz musicians is taking part in the festival for the third time.

Aki Takase and Alexander von Schlippenbach Piano Duo (JP/D): Two genuine legends of jazz, improvisation and the piano come together for an intimate four-hand concert at a single grand piano. The familiarity and playful joy with which these two exceptional artists - winners of every major national jazz award - share the keys speak to a deep, long-standing bond, both with each other and with the music they create.
