Two adult orphans who have been scraping by as small-time criminals suddenly face a monumental task: their Catholic orphanage is set to close. To raise the missing funds honestly, they reunite their old band and plan a benefit concert.

In black suits, hats and sunglasses, Jake and Elwood Blues embark on a wild cross-country journey. Along their legendary road trip, they not only round up former band members but also find themselves caught in wild car chases with the police, encounter cowboys and reconnect with old flames.

Based on the cult classic film by John Landis (1980) and featuring unforgettable music by James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles and many others, audiences can expect a musical bursting with action, humour and spectacular musical numbers - a show "in the service of the Lord" that captivated audiences in Manfred Ohnoutka's 2024 production.
