Three Men in the Snow - by Erich Kästner

Laienbühne Freising e.V. presents Erich Kästner's novel "Three Men in the Snow" this season - in the stage adaptation by Charles Lewinsky (© performance rights: Bühnenverlag Weitendorf, Hamburg). Arnold Aschbauer directs, bringing his second production to Freisinger Laienbühne.

The story unfolds at the Grand Hotel Bruckbeuren: a millionaire, called a "perpetual child" by his daughter, travels incognito as an ordinary man to observe real people - and sets off a chain of misunderstandings. He meets a young man from humble circumstances, and an unlikely friendship blooms between them, bridging all class divides.

Aschbauer transports the audience into the world of ski tourism around 1930: complete with eager and less eager hotel staff, and guests from around the globe.
