"Frünndach" is a special day built around two things: the warm and funny play "Die Heiden von Kummerow - Alles Müller, … oder wie?" - and You, our loyal "Frünns"!

The mischievous adventures of the villagers of Kummerow promise plenty of laughs, but this day is also about giving something back. Without your loyalty and enthusiasm, the Darß-Festspiele would not be what they are today. As a thank-you, we offer exclusive behind-the-scenes access, personal meet-and-greets with the cast, and a range of special activities available only on this day.

This day is our way of saying thank you - for your support, your passion, and your dedication!

Please note: admission to "Frünndach" requires a valid ticket for either 17 July or 14 August 2026. Entry on these days opens 1.5 hours before the performance. Food and drinks will be available on site.

What is going on in Kummerow? Everything seems to revolve around the miller. He beats his horses and mistreats his animals. He cheats the farmers with watered-down flour and underpays for their grain. He insults the children and threatens at the village council to drive Krischan out of town. The children quickly agree: the miller has to go. But how? The "Heiden von Kummerow" come up with all manner of cheeky pranks to make his life difficult. Will that be enough to drive him away? Krischan pitches in to help - and seems to have his own pressing reason for wanting the miller gone. But what is the secret that could even bring the miller before a court? The children are desperate to find out. Yet Krischan stays silent. Will he break that silence when confronted by Constable Niemeie...
