Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the most beautiful in the world? In the digital Mirror Hall, images of the most beautiful people are reflected infinitely many times. And we are all in the middle! But how did beauty standards actually emerge over the last 2000 years? How did society construct ideals of beauty? Kylie Jenner, Marilyn Monroe, Empress Sissi, Snow White's stepmother, or the biblical figures Rachel and Leah - they all help us find answers and ask new questions: Why do mirror images take on a life of their own and put us under pressure? Who looks back at us from the mirror, and why do we want to be like HER or HIM, but above all someone else? And why does physical beauty have this irritating quality of being fleeting?
