Florian (David Knors) is visually impaired and would rather live on unemployment benefits. Instead, he gets assigned to a job at Dialoghaus Hamburg, where he meets the charming, hearing-impaired Kati (Cindy Klink) - and is immediately drawn to her. The two have to figure out how to communicate, which turns out to be far easier than expected thanks to some helpful apps. But other obstacles get in the way, rooted mainly in their different backgrounds and Florian's emotional unavailability.

When Florian learns that his deeply resented father is dying, his hard shell begins to crack. He finally sees what Kati means to him and how much she grounds him.
