About the venue

The Abteikirche Hamborn is a Romanesque abbey church in the Hamborn district of Duisburg, founded by Premonstratensian monks in the 12th century. The monastery was dissolved during secularization but the church survived and remains an active parish church today. Its medieval architecture and acoustics make it a regular venue for classical and sacred music concerts.
