About the venue

The Allianz Arena is Munich's iconic football stadium, opened in 2005 and designed by architects Herzog & de Meuron. Its distinctive facade of inflatable ETFE plastic panels can be illuminated in red, blue, or white, making it one of the most recognizable stadiums in the world. Home to FC Bayern München and formerly also TSV 1860 München, it seats around 75,000 spectators and has hosted matches at the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
