alpincenter Bottrop is one of Europe's longest indoor ski slopes, built on top of a former coal-mining spoil heap in the Ruhr area. The facility offers year-round skiing and snowboarding on a 640-metre slope, alongside a climbing wall and other winter-sports activities. It also hosts concerts, motorsport events and other large-scale shows in its arena section.
