Altes Museum

Berlin, Germany

About the venue

The Altes Museum on Berlin's Museum Island is one of the finest examples of German Neoclassical architecture, designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel and opened in 1830. Its iconic rotunda, modelled on the Pantheon in Rome, houses the Antikensammlung - a permanent collection of ancient Greek and Roman art. The building itself is a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Museum Island ensemble.
