About the venue

The Altes Rathaus on Leipzig's Marktplatz is one of the finest Renaissance buildings in Germany, completed in 1556 to a design by Hieronymus Lotter. For centuries it served as the city's town hall; today it houses the Stadtgeschichtliches Museum Leipzig. The grand hall on the upper floor regularly hosts concerts, exhibitions, and civic events.
