The Altes Schauspielhaus in Wuppertal is a historic theatre building earmarked to become the future Pina Bausch Zentrum - a cultural centre dedicated to the legacy of the world-renowned choreographer Pina Bausch, who shaped the city's identity through her Tanztheater Wuppertal. The building is currently being developed into an international hub for dance, performance and archival work connected to Bausch's life and art.
