Memmingen, Germany
The Antoniter- und Strigel-Museum in Memmingen brings together two distinct collections under one roof: the history of the Antonite order, which had a significant presence in the region during the Middle Ages, and works by the Strigel family of painters, who were among the most important late-Gothic artists in southern Germany. The building itself is a former Antonite monastery. Temporary exhibitions complement the permanent displays.
