About the venue

Babylon Mitte is a historic cinema in Berlin's Mitte district, built in 1929 to a design by Hans Poelzig. One of the few surviving silent-film-era picture houses in Germany, it still features its original Wurlitzer organ, which accompanies live screenings of silent films. The programme mixes arthouse releases, retrospectives, and special events.
