Munich, Germany

About the venue

The Bavarian State Library on Ludwigstraße is one of the largest research libraries in Europe, with holdings of over 34 million items including medieval manuscripts, incunabula, and rare maps. The building, completed in 1843 to designs by Friedrich von Gärtner, is a landmark of Munich's Maxvorstadt district. Beyond its scholarly mission, it regularly hosts exhibitions, lectures, and cultural events open to the public.
