Burg Creuzburg is a medieval hilltop castle in the small Thuringian town of Creuzburg, perched above the Werra river. Built in the 12th century by the Ludowingian landgraves, it is one of the best-preserved Romanesque castles in Thuringia. Today the castle hosts cultural events, concerts and open-air performances in its historic courtyard.
