Burg Herzberg

Breitenbach, Germany

About the venue

Burg Herzberg is a medieval hilltop castle in the Knüll region of Hesse, rising above the village of Breitenbach. It is best known as the home of the Herzberg Festival, one of Germany's longest-running open-air folk and rock festivals, held on the castle grounds since 1968. The ruins and surrounding woodland give the site a distinctive atmosphere that has made it a pilgrimage destination for festival-goers across generations.
