About the venue

Burg Katzenstein is a well-preserved medieval hilltop castle near Dischingen in the Swabian Alb, dating back to the 12th century. It served as a filming location for the German TV series "Das Finstere Tal" and similar productions. Today the castle hosts open-air theatre performances, medieval markets and cultural events against a dramatic backdrop of towers and battlements.
