About the venue

Burghausen Castle is one of the longest castle complexes in the world, stretching over 1,000 metres along a narrow ridge above the Salzach river in Bavaria. Dating back to the 10th century, it served as a secondary residence of the Wittelsbach dukes and is now a well-preserved historical monument. The castle hosts open-air concerts, the annual Jazz Festival, and theatrical performances in its courtyard.
