About the venue

The Carl-Orff-Saal is one of the smaller concert halls inside the Gasteig cultural centre in Munich's Haidhausen district. Named after the Bavarian composer Carl Orff, it seats around 500 and regularly hosts chamber music, literary events, and smaller ensemble concerts. Since the Gasteig began its major renovation in 2021, the venue has been operating as the "alter Gasteig" alongside the temporary Gasteig HP8 site in Sendling.
