About the venue

The Colosseum Filmtheater in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg is one of the oldest surviving cinema buildings in Germany, dating back to 1924. Originally built as a machine factory in the late 19th century, it was converted into a cinema and later became a flagship arthouse venue. The grand single-screen hall seats over 600 and regularly hosts film premieres and festival screenings.
