About the venue

The Deutsch-Amerikanisches Institut (DAI) in Heidelberg is a cultural centre with a long history of transatlantic exchange, founded after World War II. It hosts concerts, readings, film screenings, lectures and art exhibitions, drawing on both German and American cultural traditions. The building on Sofienstraße is one of the most active independent cultural venues in the Rhine-Neckar region.
