About the venue

D'haus - Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus is the city's main public theatre, and the Große Bühne is its principal stage. The current building on Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz, designed by Konrad Beckmann, opened in 1970 and is considered a landmark of late-modernist theatre architecture. The Große Bühne hosts full-scale drama productions, premieres and guest performances.
