Hamburg, Germany

About the venue

The Ernst-Barlach-Haus is a museum in Hamburg's Jenischpark dedicated to the work of the German expressionist sculptor and graphic artist Ernst Barlach (1870-1938). The elegant single-storey building, designed by architect Werner Kallmorgen and opened in 1962, houses a permanent collection of sculptures, drawings and prints. Alongside the permanent display, the museum regularly hosts temporary exhibitions on Barlach and related modernist art.
