About the venue

Ferropolis is an open-air industrial monument on a peninsula in the Gremminer See lake, built from five giant mining excavators left in place after lignite extraction ended in the 1990s. The site hosts large-scale open-air festivals - most famously Melt! - as well as concerts and cultural events, with the steel giants forming a dramatic backdrop. It is sometimes called the "City of Iron".
