The Frauenkirche is Dresden's most iconic landmark - a Lutheran baroque church whose massive sandstone dome dominates the city skyline. Destroyed in the 1945 bombing and left as a ruin throughout the GDR era, it was painstakingly rebuilt and reconsecrated in 2005. Entrance D is one of the church's designated access points for services, concerts and other events held inside.
