About the venue
Grips Theater is a Berlin institution for children's and youth theatre, founded in 1969. It became internationally known for its politically engaged, socially critical productions aimed at young audiences - and adults alike. The musical "Linie 1", set on the Berlin U-Bahn, premiered here in 1986 and has since been staged in dozens of countries worldwide.
