Gürzenich

Cologne, Germany

About the venue

The Gürzenich is one of Cologne's oldest and most storied event halls, dating back to the 15th century. Originally built as a civic dance and banquet hall, it has hosted imperial receptions, carnival balls and major concerts for centuries. The current building, reconstructed after World War II, stands next to the ruins of the Romanesque church Alt St. Alban and remains a central venue for classical music, galas and the Cologne Carnival season.
