Hans-Sachs-Haus

Gelsenkirchen, Germany

About the venue

The Hans-Sachs-Haus in Gelsenkirchen is a landmark civic building from the late 1920s, designed by Alfred Fischer in the New Objectivity style. Originally built as a community and events centre for the mining city, it fell into disrepair before being extensively restored and reopened in 2013. Today it serves as the city hall and a cultural venue, hosting concerts, exhibitions, and public events in its striking historic interiors.
