The Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland in Bonn is one of Germany's most visited museums, dedicated to the history of the Federal Republic from 1945 to the present. Opened in 1994, it occupies a purpose-built building on the Museumsmeile, right next to the former West German parliament. The permanent collection spans politics, everyday life, and pop culture, and the museum regularly hosts temporary exhibitions and public events.
