About the venue
Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) is an international centre for contemporary arts and culture located in the Tiergarten district of Berlin. Originally built as the Congress Hall for the 1957 International Building Exhibition, its distinctive curved roof earned it the nickname "pregnant oyster". Today it hosts exhibitions, concerts, festivals, and interdisciplinary events focused on global cultural exchange.
