The Heckentheater am Neuen Palais is an open-air hedge theatre in the grounds of Sanssouci Park, dating from the 18th century. Its stage and wings are formed by tall, carefully trimmed hornbeam hedges - a rare surviving example of baroque garden theatre design. Summer concerts and theatrical performances take place here against the backdrop of the Neues Palais.
