About the venue

Helenesee is a large recreational lake on the eastern edge of Frankfurt (Oder), formed from a former open-cast lignite mine. The sandy beaches and open water attract swimmers, windsurfers and campers throughout the summer. Open-air concerts and festivals are regularly held on the grounds, making it one of the region's most popular outdoor event sites.
