About the venue

The Kloster zum Heiligen Kreuz is a former Cistercian convent in Rostock's old town, founded in 1270 by Queen Margarete of Denmark. The medieval brick complex is one of the best-preserved Gothic monastic buildings in northern Germany. Today it houses the Kulturhistorisches Museum Rostock and regularly serves as a venue for concerts, exhibitions and cultural events.
