Konzerthaus Berlin, Großer Saal mit Stehplatzparkett

Berlin, Germany

About the venue

The Konzerthaus Berlin, built by Karl Friedrich Schinkel and opened in 1821, stands on the Gendarmenmarkt as one of the city's great neoclassical landmarks. The Großer Saal is its main concert hall, seating around 1,400 and home to the Konzerthausorchester Berlin. The Stehplatzparkett configuration converts part of the stall seating into standing room, bringing the audience closer to the stage for a more immediate concert experience.
