Lenbachhaus

Munich, Germany

About the venue

The Lenbachhaus is a municipal art museum housed in the former villa of painter Franz von Lenbach, built in the late 19th century in an Italianate style. It holds one of the world's largest collections of works by the Blaue Reiter group - Kandinsky, Marc, Macke and their circle. The building was extended by a striking contemporary wing designed by Foster + Partners, opened in 2013.
