About the venue
The Ludwig Forum für Internationale Kunst in Aachen is a contemporary art museum housed in a former umbrella factory from the 1920s - a striking example of Bauhaus-influenced industrial architecture. Its collection focuses on international art from the 1960s onwards, with particular strengths in American Pop Art and works donated by collectors Peter and Irene Ludwig. Temporary exhibitions regularly bring major names in contemporary art to the city.
