About the venue

Ludwigs Festspielhaus is a purpose-built musical theatre in Füssen, opened in 2011 right next to Neuschwanstein Castle. It was constructed specifically to stage the long-running Ludwig² musical, which tells the story of the Bavarian king Ludwig II. The house seats around 1,500 guests and is one of the largest dedicated musical venues in Bavaria.
