About the venue
Monbijou Theater is an open-air venue on the banks of the Spree, set in Monbijoupark between the Bode Museum and the Hackescher Markt. It stages Shakespeare plays every summer under the open sky - rain or shine - and has done so since 2007. The wooden grandstand seats several hundred spectators, and the park setting gives the whole thing a relaxed, almost improvised feel.
