About the venue

The Moritzbastei in Leipzig is a historic fortification from the 15th century, converted into one of Germany's largest student clubs after students excavated and restored it in the 1970s-80s. The Veranstaltungstonne - literally "event barrel" - is one of its distinctive vaulted cellar spaces, used for concerts, club nights and cultural events. The venue sits beneath the old city walls near Augustusplatz.
