About the venue
Moritzburg is a late-Gothic castle in Halle (Saale), built in the late 15th century as a residence for the Archbishops of Magdeburg. After centuries of partial ruin, it was restored and today houses the Kunstmuseum Moritzburg, one of the largest art museums in Saxony-Anhalt, with a collection spanning from the Middle Ages to contemporary art. The inner courtyard and historic halls also serve as a backdrop for concerts and cultural events.
