The Münster St. Nikolaus is a late-Gothic minster church dominating the old town of Überlingen on Lake Constance. Construction began in the 14th century and continued for over 200 years, resulting in a five-aisled hall church of remarkable scale for a town of this size. The interior is renowned for its richly carved high altar by Jörg Zürn (1613-1616) and elaborate stone vaulting.
