About the venue

Built for the 1972 Summer Olympics, Olympiapark München is a sprawling open-air complex in the north of the city. Its landmark tent-roof architecture, designed by Frei Otto and Günter Behnisch, still turns heads today. The park hosts major concerts, festivals and sporting events throughout the year, with the Olympic Stadium, the Olympiahalle arena and the open-air Theatron stage all serving as separate venues within the grounds.
