About the venue

The Waldbühne is a legendary open-air amphitheatre in the Grunewald forest, built for the 1936 Berlin Olympics and seating around 22,000 people. It is operated by the Berliner Philharmoniker and hosts the orchestra's popular annual open-air concert, as well as rock, pop and world-music shows throughout the summer season.
