About the venue

The Philharmonie im Gasteig is Munich's principal concert hall, opened in 1985 as part of the Gasteig cultural centre on the banks of the Isar. With around 2,500 seats, it serves as the home venue of the Münchner Philharmoniker and regularly hosts international orchestras and soloists.
