About the venue
The Pierre Boulez Saal is a concert hall in Berlin's Mitte district, opened in 2017 and designed by architect Frank Gehry. Its elliptical interior seats around 680 and was conceived to dissolve the boundary between performers and audience. The hall is run by the Barenboim-Said Akademie and focuses on chamber music, with a particular emphasis on dialogue between Western and Arabic musical traditions.
