About the venue

The Porta Nigra ("Black Gate") is a large, well-preserved Roman city gate in Trier, dating from the 2nd century AD and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its forecourt (Vorplatz) is a spacious open-air square directly in front of the ancient gate, regularly used as a stage for open-air concerts, markets, and public events in the heart of the city.
