Rathaus Schöneberg is a red-brick town hall in the Schöneberg district, completed in 1914. It served as the seat of West Berlin's city government during the Cold War era and gained international fame on 26 June 1963, when U.S. President John F. Kennedy delivered his "Ich bin ein Berliner" speech from its steps. Today it houses the borough administration of Tempelhof-Schöneberg and its forecourt is used for public events and commemorations.
